Bears’ WR Sam Hurd Tried to Buy 5-10 Kilos of Cocaine: Feds Source says Hurd supplied drugs to many NFL players.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Sam Hurd was locked up in federal custody Thursday as his stunned teammates learned he had been charged with trying to set up a drug-dealing network following his arrest with more than a pound of cocaine.

U.S. Magistrate Young Kim says Hurd, 26, will need to return to Texas to face the drug charge. Judge Kim ordered Hurd held pending bond during a Thursday hearing in Chicago federal court.
